I’m always looking for new lunch spots in Austin, and I’m obsessed with the newly opened Vinaigrette on South Congress! The New Mexican salad bistro serves up farm-to-table salads with local produce, refreshing pressed juice cocktails, and sustainable wine and beer selection.
The interior of the restaurant is stunning with an eco-friendly design, light pouring through the airy plant-filled restaurant filled with natural elements. Be sure to also head outside to the beautiful backyard with the 500-year-old oak tree and swinging wicker chairs.
The menu features a variety of fresh salads with produce from the local Bastrop farm. Choose your favorite salad and then your favorite protein: lemon-herbed chicken breast, hibiscus-cured duck ocnfit, seared diver scallops, or baked panko-crusted goat cheese.
What To Order: Asian chopped salad, the omega salad, and plenty of cocktails.
All the cocktails are made from healthy ingredients like kale, cucumbers, turmeric, ginger, beets, celery, and purple cabbage. Then spiked with a healthy dose of gin, vodka, tequila, champagne, and ginger beer. Cheers!

Chopped Napa cabbage and rice noodles, with julienned red bell peppers, scallions, shredded carrots, cilantro and peanuts. Tossed with zingy miso ginger vinaigrette and topped with crispy noodles.
The Omega with Grilled Flank Steak
Leafy greens chopped and tossed with sweet corn, diced bell pepper, tomato, avocado, red onion, cilantro and toasted pine nuts. Dressed with blue cheese vinaigrette.
Duck confit tossed with baby arugula, creamy goat cheese, balsamic roasted pears, and hibiscus vinaigrette.
